Some Orcs leave their traditional lifestyle of semi-nomadic clan warfare and choose to live more like the other races. Some take up the plough, others the oar, but the majority take up the sword. The lifestyle of the adventurer and the sellsword appeals to the Orc, however living in “society” requires a level of decorum which prevents many Orcish behaviours. By not constantly fighting for dominance and waging endless war they are percieved as soft by proper Orcs. The name they are branded with is Haff Orc, some take the title as a badge of honour for the individual, others as the insult it is.
They are largely accepted by human societies as they bring strength and behave no worse than the average barbarian. Some Orcs have lived like this for generations, born into the life of the civilized world. Second generation Orcs are more likely to have settled into sedintary occupations, sometimes banding together to form communities of Haff Orcs.
